The workplace is changing, and so is the way we furnish it. NeoCon 2025 showed us how form, function, and feeling are coming together in ways that rethink the modern office from the ground up. Here are the notable trends.
Intention
Over the years we’ve seen an increase in the intentionality of design – not just in function, but in the entire lifecycle of products. Nature continues to be a heavy influence through the application of color and texture. The trend carries on, taking on new shapes, literally, to not only provide comfortable and supportive workspaces, but also influence the feelings of the user. We saw designs that convey energy, calm, and everything in between through color drenched, immersive experiences.
Color
Bold and bright electric hues were popping up across the board, bringing warmth and energy to designs. Think neon sign meets coxy textiles. In contrast, designers are implementing gradient color schemes, not only in textiles, but also metals and wall coverings, giving a monochromatic, but rich, feel to spaces.
Style
Although bold and bright, we saw the shape of furniture moving away from sharp geometry, toward soft, curved designs. Smooth edges and looping bench seating inspire collaboration, connection, as well as versatility, as modular designs allow for reconfiguration to meet the ever-evolving needs of the workplace. We saw these shapes paired with sharp tailoring in the textiles, creating a bespoke look and feel that is perfect for today’s workplaces.
